How to install TWRP Recovery on Lenovo K3 Note/ A7000 Plus

Hello Friends,

Here i present a detailed explanation of installing TWRP Recovery on Lenovo K3 Note/A7000 Plus!

Kindly read carefully till end and follow!


- Make sure you have 60% battery charge.

- Open Settings> Developer options and enable USB Debugging on your device.

- Download and install Lenovo USB Drivers on your PC from HERE.

- Download this minimal ADB package and extract in on PCfrom HERE.

- Press and hold shift key and right click inside the folder at the empty space and choose “open command window here”.

- Connect phone to PC via USB cable.

- Now in CMD type the following commands and hit enter after each command:

“adb reboot bootloader” - (This command boots Lenovo K3 Note into Fastboot / Bootloader Mode).

“fastboot devices” - (This commands shows the list of devices connected to PC in Bootloader Mode. 

The above command will ensure that Lenovo K3 Note is successfully connected to PC. Some Alfa numeric number will be shown).

Now, to flash custom recovery; type following command and hit enter:

“fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” - (This command will flash the recovery.img to your Lenovo K3 Note in some seconds).

After all done, power off the device by taking out the battery. Now insert battery after 5 seconds and press power button + volume up + volume down buttons all together for 7 seconds until you see below image:

Congrats, you have successfully flashed Custom recovery on your Lenovo K3 Note.

Now you can flash miui8 FULL ROM via TWRP recovery from HERE!

Presenting my miui8 Bugless ROM for Lenovo K3 Note/ A7000 plus. Everything works just perfect!

Below are the major fixes by me till date since 2015 till date (lollipop Based miui8 ROM):

- DT2W fixed.
- Latest SuperSU.
- Dirac+Dolby+Maxx.
- Useful Xposed Modules added.
- Flash light/Torch fixed- sometimes not working, now OK.
- Fixed NV Ram error in Wi-Fi.
- Battery: Charging and Backup Improved.
- Drop down menu lag fixed (miui8).
- Gallery lag fixed (miui8).
- Xposed Support added.
- SD Card Default storage patch.
- Homescreen Menu 4*6 Patch.
- Camera Shutter sound fixed, Camera image quality tweaks.
- Offline Battery charging logo fixed.
- LED Notification fixed- now working (only green LED notification working. For whatsapp and
other apps, select green color LED from whatsapp settings to make it work).
- Full HD video recording fixed. No green lines in Full HD video recording.
- Fixed proximity sensor, sometimes misbehaving while calls, now OK.
- Camera fixed- images no more hang in HDR mode, normal mode.
- Heating issue resolved (not tested for gaming).
- Antutu after first boot- 47000+.
- Pre-rooted.
- Minimal Gapps.
- Themes & Fonts working.
- OTG Working.
- Fast and Buttery Smooth UI.
- Gyroscope sensor fixed.
- Gravity sensor fixed.
- Rotation Vector sensor fixed.
- Linear Acceleration sensor fixed.
- Orientation sensor fixed.
- Accelerometer sensor fixed.
- Magnetic Field sensor fixed.
- Light sensor fixed.
- Proximity sensor fixed.

Test my old builds from below links:

Fresh Installation method (Strictly Follow):

- Backup your phone, data, everything before flashing this ROM as i will not be responsible for any bricked phones, lost IMEI Numbers or any harm made to your device during this process, though I did not faced any such problem while I followed the following process.

- In order to flash this ROM, one has to be on Custom recovery (TWRP Recommended), Download from link given and Flash it on your K3 Note.

- Reboot to custom recovery and go to Wipe->Advance Wipe->and wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data, Internal Storage (all data, apps etc. will be deleted).

- Flash the ROM downloaded from above link.

- Enjoy MIUI8 on Lenovo K3 Note!

I've already provided first build to the ones who already donated me for the same and after receiving some bugs list from the initial users, I have been also able to work on those bugs and also able to resolve them!

 
Second build of Marshmallow based miui8 for Lenovo K3 Note/A7000 plus will be made available soon to the one's who have donated me so far! Thanks for your Donations!
